Baltimore National Aquarium Stadium Seating Replacement
One of the most interesting commercial projects we have completed was the seating replacement at the National Aquarium. We removed over 16,000 lf of the existing yellow pine wood seating and replaced it with plastic lumber. All the material had to be hand-carried out of the arena and hand-carried back in. Not only was it a physical challenge hand carrying all the materials up and down steps and around tight turns we had to minimize the noise because of the sensitive hearing that dolphins have in an effort not to disturb them. All work had to be performed at night and we had a timeline of three weeks from start to finish. Fortunately, with the cooperation of the National Aquarium Authority and the teamwork from our crew, everything was completed on time and on budget.
