Screened Porch Under the Deck
Multi-level decks are quite popular due to their efficient use of vertical space. Have you ever considered screening in your lower deck or patio under your high-elevation deck? Your lower outdoor living space can keep out the rain and bugs while the upper deck remains clear for sunbathing.
Screened Porch on One Side of the Deck
If your deck is wide enough, you can have the best of both worlds horizontally. Some of our past projects involved screening in half of a wide backyard deck. The two zones could either be on the same level or connected by a few stairs. Each outdoor living space is distinct and has its uses. For instance, you can have the grill and fire pit on the deck and a cozy seating arrangement on the screened porch.

Alternatively, if your backyard deck is just big enough, you could enclose the entire deck in a screened porch. It will still let in plenty of sunshine, but you don’t have to worry about getting sunburnt during the hottest part of the day. You have permanent shade and protection from the rain, sun, and bugs.
Free-Standing Screened Porch
Do you have a sprawling backyard? There might be room for a screened porch! This room could be a poolside retreat, an entertainment hub, a workspace, or all of the above.
Double Screened Porch
Why settle for just one screened porch when you can have two? Perhaps you have multiple doors to your backyard linking to the kitchen, master bedroom, and living room. Keep an open deck in the middle with adjoining screened porches on both sides.
